Spelling

Each week for Spelling the entire class is pre-tested on the same set of 20 words. Their pre-tests are scored and then students use the results to put together their own personalized spelling list. Any words that students miss on their pre-tests must be put on their personalized list for the week. To make the rest of their list, students choose words from a "challenge" list. This enables each student to be challenged at his or her individual level. Spelling tests are given on Fridays.

Students need to be studying their words throughout the week (and not just on Thursday night). In order to make studying more fun, I've included two websites below that allow you to put your words into a puzzle.
